Parking Garage Expansion Moves Forward

On March 2, 2010, the voters of the City of Burlington approved a $21.5 million revenue bond for the construction of two additional levels of parking to the north portion of the Airport parking garage.  This expansion will provide an additional 600 parking spaces (to a total of 2,700) and will be covered.  This parking will add to the capacity to accommodate passengers who park at the Airport while travelling.  In addition, the project will provide jobs during construction and is seen as an important step in assisting with the economic recovery of our area.

 Construction of the garage addition will start around June 1 and should be substantially completed by December 1.
